Marketing a hair salon & spa is very visual work. Social media is a great way to engage your clients, and future clients, to spread more awareness about your salon & spa, and create brand loyalty. But do you know how to use these platforms in a way that both clients will enjoy and that will benefit your salon? Social media posts should encourage your clients to engage with you and bring them back for more interaction. Content should be engaging and interesting to your clientele as well as provide them with some new information that interests them or things they can relate to. Make sure facts, info, and photos are all in line with your brand image. Match the tone of your brand, your target age group, and keep it light and upbeat. As a salon & spa, post content centered around hair & beauty tips, latest spa treatments, how-to guides, and what your salon offers that makes it unique. All posts should be kept short and easy to read with intriguing photos or even a fun video. Tips for Using Facebook as a Communication Tool Facebook can provide a great means for you to share your photos & services, create contests or giveaways, and spread awareness of your business. ?
Engage readers with relevant posts that encourage feedback such as, “Winter is almost here! What will be your hairstyle of choice for this winter?” ?
Post lots of pictures to showcase the work that you are most proud of, those big “wow” makeovers, events that your salon sponsored, or fun holiday-themed manicures or trends. Did you know that pictured posts get 120% more engagement than text-only posts? ?
Make sure your Facebook page has all the information readers need to find out about you. Use various Facebook tabs to show your salon locations, services offered, photos, and reviews. ?
Everyone loves free stuff! Use it to your advantage to engage clients with contests for free product, discount on services (either hair or spa), and even packages. Encourage them to share it on their own Facebook page to help increase awareness and draw in more clients. ?
Target your ads to those within a certain driving distance to your salon or those who like related Facebook pages. Example: Those that like the brand of product you carry may be more willing to try your salon since you carry those products.
