Celebrating Success: Webappclouds LLC Wins Massage Envy's Vendor of the Year Award
ReadPress Release
The salon industry is now more dynamic and growing faster than any time in recent memory, and there’s no reason you can’t become a part of this phenomenal expansion. If you’re a “salon-trepreneur” looking to bring your business to the next level, here are a few simple rules to keep in mind. Carry exclusive products. We all know that offering retail hair care products to our clients is a great way to get additional value from a salon visit. That being said, there is little return from offering products that our clients can easily find in any one of dozens of outlets in the area, whether it’s another salon or even Target and Wal-Mart. Find a product line that not only speaks to your salon’s brand, but also makes your shop the best place to find it. Stress values over image. It’s all well and good to have a great logo or snazzy smocks, but what really helps a salon’s bottom line is a loyal client who returns time and again for services. The best way to build that sort of relationship with a client is to develop a set of values and a culture that your client base finds appealing. Listen to what your target audience values and build a salon culture that speaks to it. Whether it’s a focus on organic products and a healthy lifestyle or giving back to the community, your salon can only benefit from fitting into that niche. Make marketing a central component of your business plan. A successful marketing strategy should include equal parts of advertising, promotion, and communication. Make sure your brand is getting out to your target audience, and give them incentives in the form of promotions to give your salon a try. Also, be sure that all of your outreach efforts are clearly presented and easy to understand. Extra fancy in this case may just mean extra expense. Fine tuning your salon business plan can have big payoffs for those willing to take that next step, and here at SalonClouds+ we’re ready to help.
